IMPORT

Import permits
Gene Movers take the time and stress out of import procedures by making application on behalf of clients for permit to import quarantine material into Australia.
Import clearance
Once application has been made Gene Movers will monitor the progress of the transaction by liaising with importers and exporters, arranging import clearance through Customs and Department of Agriculture and providing personal attendance at the airport.
Personal attendance
Even for clients who have made their own arrangements for Customs clearance, Gene Movers offers the service of personal attendance at the airport to ensure smooth handling of materials into the country.
EXPORT
Gene Movers will manage the inspection and approval of export health certificates, Department of Agriculture inspection of product, the issue of an export permit, health certificate and delivery to our freight forwarder of your export material.
Management fee
Gene Movers fee for the personalised management of exportation of your genetic material includes liaison with exporter/importer and The Department of Agriculture, document preparation and personal attendance at airport.
The Department of Agriculture
Gene Movers will oversee the inspection and approval of export health certificates, inspection of product and issue of export permit and health certificate for your export material.
STORAGE / DISTRIBUTION
Semen and Embryos can be stored in either client owned or Gene Movers owned tanks. Services include domestic storage of all species for Australia wide distribution, Department of Agriculture approved premise / OIE storage of all species to retain health status for export and EU export Bovine semen and embryos.
Count and Repack
Bulk packed semen received into Gene Movers’ store is counted out into goblets of 25 for .25cc straws and goblets of 10 for .50cc straws, allowing for ease of further transport and use.
Storage
Semen and embryos can be stored in either client owned or Gene Movers owned tanks. Storage is charged quarterly and varies according to tank arrangements. Product in client owned tanks is charged at a tank rate, where as product in Gene Movers’ tanks is charged at a per dose/per embryo rate.
All product stored in our quarantine approved premise (QAP) rooms attracts a 20 per cent surcharge. International clients can apply for a once a year storage charge.
Handling
A fee is payable for receipt of all incoming goods into Gene Movers’ store.
Late Return Fee
Tanks not returned within ten days of dispatch will be charged a late fee on a per day basis until returned.
Dispatch
Packing and documentation for all out going goods dispatched from our warehouse also attracts a fee.
Road Freight
Return freight. Domestic consignments are sent out with all tank return documentation enclosed by a reputable courier of Gene Movers’ choice.
Liquid Nitrogen
Supply of liquid nitrogen is charged on a per kg basis per dispatch.
Insurance
All product shipped to and from Gene Movers is at OWNERS RISK. If insurance is required please contact your own insurance broker for cover.
